EDDIE G. AT THE GATES OF HELL

Synopsis

A serial killer takes his family on a cross-country drive when he's transferred to California. Along the way are many roadside attractions. And plenty of desolate places like the abandoned 'Gates of Hell" gas station where a married man might become single again.

Nominations and Awards

  • WINNER of the 2009 Black Quill Award (Editor's Choice), BEST DARK GENRE ANTHOLOGY

  • NOMINATED for the 2009 Bram Stoker award from the Horror Writer's Association for Superior Achievement in an Anthology

  • NAMED one of the top ten books of 2009 by FAMOUS MONSTERS OF FILMLAND magazine

Reviews

"There's a streak of dark comedy in R. B. Payne's 'Eddie G. at the Gates of Hell' in which a man on a road trip with his wife and kids hears voices - like from the giant fly atop his car - telling him to kill his family."

-- From the Bookgasm review, by Ron Lott
